2012 Year 2H Welcome Back

Greetings to all my 2012 Year Two’s and their families.

I am looking forward to Wednesday when I will finally meet you all. Though the hot weather will be a challenge no doubt! We do have an air-conditioned classroom, thankfully!

The children may have a bottle of water only on their desk! Cordial tends to get sticky if an accident occurs,so please note it is water only for inside the room!

On Wednesday , please come with all your children’s school booklist items and ensure they are clearly named. Extra pencils and glue sticks will be collected and stored until required. The children have a large tray that is labelled so they can put their scrap books and exercise books in their tray.

The children will need a school hat to wear at recess and lunch and sunscreen would be advisable too.

Until Wednesday stay cool ! I look forward to meeting you all then.

Hello Everyone,

Welcome Back. I hope you all enjoyed a lovely Easter and holiday break.

Happy Mother’s Day to all my Year Two Mum’s and Grandmother’s ,too for yesterday!

Please return your child’s portfolio by the end of this week. They are needed for reporting purposes!

This week on Thursday, the school will hold its ANZAC day service. Please remember to send in some flowers from your garden if you have any!

Our new theme is Minibeasts and Insects. Our first mini unit will be on spiders!

Welcome Back to 2011 and Year Two

Hello Parents and Children of Year Two,Room 3,
Welcome back to the start of another year!
When you arrive on Wednesday 2nd February,please ensure you have all your child’s belongings as per the book list. Ensure that each item is clearly labelled with your child’s name.
They will also need their lunch,recess,hat and a drink bottle!
The children will need two exercise books and one scrap book in their tray.
Their pencil case should contain two lead pencils and one red pencil, coloured pencils, rubber,sharpener,one glue stick, scissors, ruler and textas.
All spare pencils will be collected and glue sticks also.
The rest of their scrap books and exercise books can be put into their named big trays. Hope this preamble helps you in your organisation.
I look forward to meeting you all on Wednesday!

Hello Year Two Children and Parents,

I hope you are all enjoying a relaxing holiday! I can’t believe one week has gone by so quickly!

I am looking forward to the start of a new term and welcoming another new class member,Emmanuel to our room.

A reminder to all that if you are able to help Mrs Machlin with some simple sewing on Tuesday October 19th from 1.00-2.00pm and again on Tuesday 26th,please add your name to the list outside Room 3 when school resumes on Tuesday 12th October. Please ensure your child is at school by 8.30am to ensure a smooth start.

I would like to congratulate our Interschool athletes on a superb performance at the Interschool carnival. There were many chests emblazoned with ribbons at the conclusion of the carnival and Kapinara’s second place was well deserved. Well done Max,Jarod,Matthew,Francois,Morgan,Anneka and Petra.

A reminder that in Week Three on 26th October,we will have our school photos taken by Fotek.

Congratulations to all Year Two students who completed the faction cross-country event on Friday.

The rain held off for our run and it was wonderful to see all the children finish with a huge smile!

Congratulations to the top five girls and boys who were so fast,Mr Hodgson thought they were year 4!!
